Sometimes the smallest of gestures turn our day bright. It maybe a text from a long-forgotten friend, a happy weight-scale score, wearing a ragged old tee and binge watching Bigg Boss . This TV show has made us extend our love to a television screen and made strangers, our friends and foe. We noticed a few, resented a few and glorified one contestant.

Here is your TOP 5 favourite Bigg Boss contestants

#5 - Ganesh Venkatraman

The hulk who is always green with joy. You can never hate this man since he always wears a handsome smile on his face. He dances like an 8-year old school kid, appreciates good food and when the housemates circle around to complain and fret, he closes his eyes in a corner and spreads good vibes. His diplomacy and compassion is contagious and is a genuine well-wisher of the Bigg Boss house. The patient demeanour and childlike chatter makes me wonder how this Peace-man hasn't infected the goblins with some goodness.

#4 Snehan

The king of hugs, the bearded grandmaster and the solemn soldier of the Big Boss House, is a kind and loveable one. Some critics size him to be sly and manipulative since he played the 3rd idiot with Gayathri and Shakthi. His serene personality wards off negativity in a WHOOSH and his poetry can mesmerise the viewers, contestants and sometimes Kamal Haasan himself.Though he had been a bystander during several cheap talks, his quiet getaway from the troublesome duo was impressive. Either you can choose loud arguments or simply walk away like a gentleman. Snehan, you’re a gentleman.

#3 Vaiyyapuri

The softener, the comedian and a lonely innkeeper. His moodswings can make even Bigg Boss shiver with his microphone. His emotional quotient fluctuates and sometimes we see a beaten up man lost in regrets. This show has won record breaking TRP rating, gained celeb-fans and has produced one changed man. His dramatic demonstrations and lengthy tamil wordplay never fail to crack us. He is an expected package of entertainment when it comes to performing tasks and the only one awarded with some love straight from the Bigg Boss for his honesty.

#2 Raiza

A beautiful bangalorean. The game changer. Makeup and Namitha sum up her world in the first few episodes. She grew a few inches taller by joining the housemates in their numbing politics and we could see the girl next door transform into a messy-haired witch. What changed then? How did Raiza become the 2nd most favourite contestant? Her guilt and tears broke through the TV screen and touched us when she bore the blood on her hands and labeled herself as one of the abusers who chased Oviya out the doors. Her enlightenment, her straight-forwardness, her twisted Tamil dialect and her courage to fight alone, made the beautiful Raiza, bold brave and beautiful Raiza.

#1 Oviya

A beauty from God’s own country. The valiant and versatile. The entertainer. The lover. The brand ambassador of “Neenga Shutup Pannunga” which is a respectful rant. The misfit sure knows how to groove. Her pony-tail, her coffee mug and hotpants mark her identity. Quick to grow in fame, her shrewdness and let-the-house-burn attitude made us get addicted to her presence. Though she may seem “high” most of the time, her lows do rupture her from within. She buries herself under the blanket when she cries and shuns company nor compassion. She left the house and chose her peace over love. Little did Bigg Boss know that Oviya's army will grow out of proportion when they see their star follow her heart again.
